Ovena 20-30 mmHg graduated compression socks support healthy circulation and venous return for travel, long shifts on your feet, pregnancy, post-surgical recovery, varicose veins, and mild edema. Compression stockings and travel-related DVT risk in airline passengers

The review pooled 12 randomized trials in 2,918 air travelers. In the nine trials that put stockings on both legs, 2,637 participants had follow-up data: symptomless DVT was found in 3 who wore graduated compression and 47 who did not (odds ratio 0.10, 95% CI 0.04-0.25; high-certainty evidence).

Compression stockings vs Kinesio taping in early chronic venous disease

Over four weeks in 62 patients with early chronic venous disease, compression stockings reduced pain and leg circumference more than Kinesio taping.

Consensus · 2018 · Phlebology

International consensus on when to use medical compression stockings

An international expert panel recommends compression to relieve venous symptoms and prevent travel- and work-related leg swelling (Grade 1B), and suggests it during long-distance travel for travelers at raised DVT risk (Grade 2B).
