A pad lies flat for a flat bed — 2 × 2 in or 4 × 4 in, trimmed to fit. The powder suits beds that are not flat.
How often is it changed?
On the schedule your clinician sets. Always cover it with a secondary dressing.
When should it not be used?
Not on wounds with clinical signs of infection until treated, not with a known bovine collagen sensitivity, and not on third-degree burns.
When should I call someone?
If the wound gets larger, smells, drains more, or is not improving — and same week if you have diabetes and it is on your foot.
Is it FDA-cleared?
Yes, 510(k) cleared; documentation on request. FDA clears 510(k) devices, it does not approve them.
