Frequently asked questions
What exactly is in the bundle?
One box of Ovena collagen in the format you choose (five 2 in × 2 in pads, five 4 in × 4 in pads or five 1 g powder packets) plus five single-use 15 mL ampoules of Care Wash sterile saline. Everything ships together in one order.
Why five ampoules?
One ampoule is a fresh 15 mL rinse for one change, and each collagen box holds five pads or packets, so there is one rinse for every change with none left over. If your clinician directs more rinsing, the 20-ampoule Care Wash box is sold separately.
Which collagen format should I choose?
Match the pad to the wound: 2 in × 2 in for smaller wounds, 4 in × 4 in for broader coverage. Powder is often chosen for irregular contours where a flat pad does not sit well. Your clinician can advise which format is right for you.
Is Care Wash an antiseptic?
No. Care Wash is sterile 0.9% saline for rinsing. It does not treat infection. If a wound looks infected, contact your clinician before using collagen.
Is this FSA/HSA eligible?
It may be FSA/HSA eligible. Collagen dressings in the sizes we sell fall under HCPCS A6021, and the powder falls under A6010. Eligibility varies by plan, so check with your administrator and keep your receipts.
