FAQs
Common questions about Ovena collagen wound dressings, hydrocolloid rolls, compression, and ordering. Can't find what you need? Ask our clinical support team.
What is the Ovena collagen wound dressing?
An FDA 510(k)-cleared, bovine-derived collagen wound dressing available in 2x2 and 4x4 sheet sizes, plus a collagen wound powder in single-use 1 g packets for wounds and contours where a sheet does not sit well. Both are made for home and clinical use. Do not use if you are allergic to bovine (beef-derived) products. See the dressing or the powder.
Which Ovena products are FDA 510(k)-cleared?
Our collagen dressings and collagen wound powder are FDA 510(k)-cleared. Our hydrocolloid rolls, sterile saline wound wash, compression socks, and sock aids are general-use products, not cleared devices, and we do not describe them that way. What 510(k) clearance actually means.
Are your products covered by insurance?
The collagen dressings carry HCPCS codes and are compatible with Medicare Part B physician dispensing. Coding, coverage, and payment decisions always rest with the payer. See the full reimbursement guide for current codes, or email info@ovenahealth.com for billing support.
Are Ovena products FSA or HSA eligible?
Many are commonly FSA/HSA eligible, but your plan administrator decides, and a Letter of Medical Necessity may be required. See FSA and HSA eligibility for wound care and compression for what qualifies and what documentation you may need.
How do I apply a collagen wound dressing?
Every kit includes QR-guided instructions — scan the code on your packaging for step-by-step video. Written steps are in our 6-step application guide, and how often to change a collagen dressing covers timing.
Who are the collagen products for?
Patients managing chronic wounds at home, as well as physician offices, home health agencies, and clinical facilities. Wound care is clinician-directed — follow the plan your care team has set.
Can I order for my practice, facility, or agency?
Yes. Bulk orders covers volume quotes and Net-30 terms for verified clinics, home health agencies, and hospice. For wholesale and territory terms, see the distributor program.
What compression products do you offer?
Graduated 20-30 mmHg knee-high, closed-toe compression socks in sizes S-XL, plus a long-handle sock aid — a curved plastic channel with pull cords — designed to make donning easier with less bending. Shop compression.
What is a hydrocolloid roll used for?
You cut it to the exact size of what you are covering — round for a surface spot, long for a heel blister, any shape for a scrape. It absorbs fluid and protects the area from friction. When not to use hydrocolloid covers the limits.
Do you offer Subscribe & Save?
Yes. Subscribe & Save takes 10% off every order, delivered monthly. Choose the Subscribe & Save option on the product page; you can skip a delivery or cancel anytime from your account.
